Health Promotion Conference

Fonds Gesundes Österreich stages its annual Health Promotion Conference in early summer in the different Austrian states on a rotating basis. Over the years this event has become a central networking meeting for people active in health promotion in Austria.

Our one-day Health Promotion Conferences put greater emphasis on theory than the annual Prevention Conferences . They trigger debate and reflection on trends and concepts in the field that help to measure progress on key questions. The agenda of our health conferences in years past have included issues of importance to theoreticians and practitioners alike, such as evaluation or quality management and its place in health promotion, gender mainstreaming, the concept of settings and participation, or the role of the media in health promotion.

The priority topics in each case are discussed and analyzed in depth by high caliber speakers and participants in plenary sessions and workshops in a way that stresses interaction and the inclusion of conference participants.
