Prevention Conference

Fonds Gesundes Österreich stages its annual Prevention Conference in late autumn in Vienna.

This two-day event is a fixed part of the continuing training and networking program of many practitioners involved in carrying out prevention projects as well as decision-makers and employees of health administration agencies. Scientists and other experts from the health care field also attend.

The conference subjects cover important social issues in which primary prevention plays an especially large part: exercise, nutrition, mental health or dependencies are all topics that have been on the agenda of past Prevention Conferences. The event in 2005 will be devoted to a topic considered sensitive in Austria and probably elsewhere and therefore all the more important: Alcohol, the Drug of the People“
