FGÖ Prevention Conference in 2005

The lines between pleasure, consumption, abuse and dependency are often blurred when it comes to alcohol. That is why prevention plays such an essential role in dealing with alcohol addiction. FGÖ dedicated its 7th Austrian Prevention Conference to this subject. Staged on November 24 and 25, the conference revolved around the topic "Alcohol, the People’s Drug – Strategies of Health Promotion and Prevention", with lectures and workshops on various facets of this problem. The subject of alcohol was first analyzed from various angles. Then experts and health workers voiced their opinions in workshops and presented effective approaches for select target groups. Noted national and international speakers contributed much to the excellent program.
