Ulrike Braumüller

After graduating in Vienna with a doctorate in law in 1981, Ulrike Braumüller took a position at a law office. She has worked for the VVO since 1982, where she was initially responsible for the insurance segments life, health, and transport and for international affairs. In 1995 she became the managing director of the association responsible for personal insurance. In October 2006 she accepted an invitation to join the FGÖ Board of Trustees.

"Promoting health and encouraging prevention have always been a major thrust in my work on behalf of the interests of personal insurance. Efficient health measures are essential to maintaining health and ultimately greatly beneficial to the economy. Lifestyle factors such as stress, a lack of time and eating habits often have a negative impact in our society. FGÖ’s actions alone may not suffice because prevention and health promotion are matters for society as a whole, but this organization does make a key contribution to strengthening public awareness about health."
