Robert Schlögel

After completing medical school, Dr. Schlögel first took a position as a teaching assistant at the Institute of Physiology in Innsbruck. He went on to serve as a surgeon and plastic surgeon at the University of Innsbruck, as medical director of Military Hospital 2 and as Head of Emergency Medical Services of the Austrian Armed Forces. He has been an honorary professor of the University of lnnsbruck since 2000 with a license to teach disaster medicine and an honorary professor of UMIT in Innsbruck since 2003.

Several foreign relief missions round out the career of this medical expert. His publications include works on blood circulation measurement, surgery, disaster medicine and bioterrorism. He is honorary president of the International Committee for Military Medicine (ICMM), honorary member of the Austrian Society for Military Medicine and Military Pharmaceutics, member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Austrian Society of Emergency and Disaster Medicine and member of the Austrian Surgical Society.
